Description

You can use your battery pack right away. To maximise the life of your battery pack you should charge it fully before you use it. Connect either the supplied vehicle or wall charger and follow the instructions in Vehicle Charging or Mains Charging.

The battery pack fits in the battery compartment of your Locator, CS880, Transmitter or Signal Generator, in place of your alkaline batteries. Remove any existing batteries and insert the battery pack. For full instructions see Fitting in a LocatorFitting in a Transmitter or Signal Generator, or Fitting in a CS880.

HANDLING

Avoid disassembling, crushing, or puncturing the battery. Do not short the external contacts, expose it to temperatures above 60°C, or subject it to excessive shock or vibration. Keep it away from children and do not use a damaged battery. If a battery pack leaks, do not touch the fluids and dispose of it, as described below.

STORAGE

To prevent fires, store the battery packs in the supplied packaging when not in use. You should consider using a lithium-ion battery storage cabinet, which may offer fire protection.

TRANSPORT

C.Scope Battery Packs are subject to legislation on the transport of dangerous goods. When a battery pack is transported, special requirements on packaging and labelling apply. Do not ship damaged battery packs.

DISPOSAL

C.Scope Battery Packs should be recycled at permitted facilities and not thrown away in household trash or recycling bins. They contain chemicals that can catch fire and explode, and high-capacity batteries can also deliver an electric shock. You can take lithium-ion batteries to a local recycling centre or hazardous waste collection point. You can check with your local authority or vendor to see if they offer recycling services.
