      QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

      Ask a Question
      • Good day, I would like to ask for a copy of manufacturer's manual for TECPOS THPA-1C – 1600cc. Does the equipment need to be certified by authorized testing facility annually in order to maintain its suitability for winch brake testing. Regards, C/O Lambert VLGC Albert II Northern Marine Management

In answer to your question then yes..

Risk assessment needs to be done to determine the frequency of testing, depending on use absolute minimum for winch brake testing 12 months but can be upwards of every 6 months depending on its usage – this is down to the user/tester to determine.

Ensure they follow either PUWER or LOLER depending on type of usage for Pump.

Assuming they are used to lift with a TECPOS cylinder so LOLER regulations come into effect and this is recommended by our Hydraulic partners.
